Yellen on Fiscal Support, Fed Independence and China

Nov.24 — Janet Yellen is set to take up the post of Treasury secretary at a turbulent time for the U.S. economy. As the first woman in charge of the Federal Reserve, she nudged the institution toward greater diversity in its own staffing as well as in the range of people that central bankers talk to about the economy. Here are some of her comments on fiscal support, financial regulation, Fed independence, taxes, climate change and China that she has made over the years.
