Austria Poised for a New Leader

Oct.11 — Sebastian Kurz resigned as Austria’s chancellor on Saturday in the face of corruption allegations, a blow for a rising star in European conservative politics. In the neighboring Czech Republic, President Milos Zeman was hospitalized hours after his ally, Prime Minister Andrej Babis suffered a shock election loss. And in Poland, 100,000 people took to the streets to show their support for continued EU membership. Bloomberg’s Maria Tadeo reports on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
