Austria Grabs Climate Lead

Jan.03 — Austria’s new government plans to push the boundaries of conventional economic, energy and tax policies in its bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The conservative People’s Party and the environmentalists Greens have laid out their policy blueprint for their new coalition under Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Their pledges include a range of measures to put the Alpine nation on a path to become climate neutral by 2040. Bloomberg’s Chris Reiter reports on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
